Chris Barber
CEO, Software Engineer

Chris is the founder of CB1, INC, open source evangelist and programmer extraordinaire. He started programming in the mid 90′s and has been developing web applications professionally since 2000. He holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Science.
Chris is a regular contributor to MinneBar, Twin Cities/Minnesota PHP, MySQL, Linux and Web Design user groups.
His career began as a CAD designer for Science Incorporated (Bloomington, MN) using Autodesk AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop where he custom wrote several utilities using AutoLisp. Designs were exported into 3D Studio and animated using keyscript.
In 2000, he joined Comm5 Web Systems (Eden Prairie, MN) as a web developer where he worked on various web applications powered by ColdFusion, Java, C++, PHP and Microsoft SQL Server. In addition to programming, he was responsible for the infrastructure of Comm5′s flagship product benefitsCONNECT. This included building and deploying servers, configuring networks and firewalls, setting up load balancers, managing backups and running e-mail and file servers.
During 2004, Chris simultaneously started CB1, INC. as well as started as an engineer at WhereToLive.com (Eden Prairie, MN) where he helped build the best real estate search engine on Earth as well as a webmail application. Project was built using Microsoft’s .NET platform and Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The search engine heavily relied on Dojo and Google Maps.
Finally in 2006, he left WhereToLive.com to focus on CB1, INC. full-time. Since then, CB1 INC. has serviced over a dozen clients across the United States.

Angela McDonald
Creative Director

Angela McDonald has been designing since 2003. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design.
For several years, she has contributed pro bono work to create fund raising event advertisements for Person to Person, a non-profit in Hennepin County. At Target Media Headquarters, Angela helped with graphics for a large conference, including seating charts and invitations. In her freelance experience she worked on websites, newsletters, collateral and business presentations.
Her career began as a Senior Designer at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Student Unions where she created multiple print items that require knowledge of print processes and electronic submission as well as helped prioritize projects and watch deadlines. Angela created multiple designs for the student unions events such as concerts, homecoming, weekly movies and Gopher Spot menus.
Angela joined Minnesota’s Fox 9 TV station (Eden Prairie, MN) in 2005 to create graphics for the nightly news. She was responsible for designing over 20 graphics each night for a variety of media that help enhance the newscast such as the Plasma, Fullscreen, Over the Shoulder Graphics and Chryon Reveals.
In 2007, she joined 1 Micro (Eden Prairie, MN) where she worked on marketing materials for several car dealers across the U.S. She specialized in tri-fold print brochures, sales catalogs, e-mail blasts, web graphics and e-newsletters.
In mid-2009, she signed on with Rising Star Studios (Edina, MN) to work on CD/DVD covers, Teacher guides and books for children with an emphasis on character building.
Angela has been working on a number of graphic design projects for CB1, INC. since 2006 including corporate identity systems, website design and print design.
