Thanks, Chris.

Same issue and your fix worked. I had to change the OS type back to Linux/Other Linux 2.6 after installing to get FF to run.

I installed Feisty Server successfully following your instructions, but I can't get it to run; it stops and quits within seconds. This has also been reported in the Parallels forums, at:
http://forum.parallels.com/thread11000.html
Have you had any luck?
Thanks for the tip,
Mans

I used the same method to get Feisty installed and it seems to be working fine right now...I did change the OS back to Linux and Other Linux Kernel 4.6 after installing. I don't see any console messages before gnome comes up when booting or when I shut down; but not sure if that's because I didn't disable acpi for the install.

It seems to have done the job for me - I'd been having problems getting the server edition to install, but it seems to be running just fine now :)

I tried installed Ubuntu 7.04 Server i386 from an ISO and I needed to do the Solaris trick to get it installed. After it restarts, it loads Grub, starts booting the kernel, then it does cause the VM to halt. No matter what I set the VM type to, it won't boot. I tried removing the sound and cd/dvd-rom drive and no luck yet.
